#21: Art & Abs 🌻
Hello friend & oooh yes it’s Friday 🙌🏼
Today I’m sharing with you this special set featuring my little cousin, Arthur, and his fiancé, Abby. And let me tell you - I am in looove with their set. Photos were captured in DeLand and each spot we went to was a hit 💥✨
So, less talking - more of 👁👄👁🫰🏼
First stop ☝🏼 the splendor & charming, Athens Theatre ❤️🔥
This theatre was built back in 1921 (1st image below) and is easily one of my favorite spots I’ve shot at. In 1922, it was declared “Florida’s Handsomest Theatre” for its Italian Renaissance architecture.
As entertainment spaces evolved, the theatre was renovated in the 50’s and eventually closed in the early 90’s (2nd image).
Thankfully in 1993, DeLand’s community leaders recognized the building’s historic role and restored the old theatre back to its original splendor (3rd image). Now to this day (4th image), Athens Theatre still has live concerts and performances (Arthur has played a show there before!). Source

The area we were in was all within a 5 min walk!
We stumbled upon this random piano in a parking garage. What’s SO perfect about this though is that Arthur is an avid piano-player! He’s been playing since he was only 7 years old! We grew up together in the same household, and I remember him playing alll the time. Both Arthur and Abby are crazy talented with music in general, so that piano + us being there = meant to be.

Then we stopped at a brewery called, Persimmon Hollow, and got some drinks. I love these shots. 🥰
Last stop was Athens Theatre again! But we waited for the sun to go down in hopes that the theatre lights would be on. It wasn’t :( But that’s okay because this wide shot is still super cool!
Aaaand that’s it! This shoot was suuuper fun because we got to scope out a location that was brand new to me and hung out with my cousin and future cousin-in-law 🙌🏼❤️🔥
